21st Annual Walk the Fight & Run the Distance for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center
This annual event at Tempe Beach Park in Tempe, Arizona supports the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute and marks its 21st year. The event offers in-person and virtual participation options and includes multiple course choices.
Distances and options:
- Fun Walk (2 Blocks)
- 4K Walk (2.8 miles)
- 5K Timed Run (3.11 miles)
- Virtual Walk option
The event program includes a Resource Fair, a Kids Area, a Poster Table, and a Photo Booth. Chip timing is used for the timed 5K with real time results and event photos available online or via mobile apps. Registered participants receive a custom event medal and a Dri-Fit tech shirt with an option to decline the shirt for a partial refund. Male and female age group awards are given to top three finishers in each age group.
Team fundraising tiers provide amenities for groups: teams that raise $2,000 or more receive a private team tent and seating area, and teams that raise $2,500 or more receive an additional team treat. Packet pickup is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and at the race location on event day. Courses are subject to change if deemed unsafe on race day.
