Event
The Gilbert Half Marathon is a road running event held in Gilbert, Arizona. The next race is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event includes multiple distances:

- 10K
- 5K
Courses used by the event are USATF certified, so performances can be used as official qualifiers and may be nationally ranked. Since 2022 the race has been based at the Verde @ Cooley Station development, with the start and finish located at the same complex. A post-race expo is held on race day at Verde @ Cooley Station, and local tenants open early and offer discounts to attendees. Registration has been offered for both live and virtual participation.
Organizer and history
The event is presented by the Shun the Sun Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on reducing skin cancer through education, prevention of overexposure to the sun, and promotion of early detection. Proceeds from the races are used to fund education, sponsor activities and events, and donate sunblock to youth groups. The race began in 2009 in Mesa, Arizona, moved to Gilbert in 2014, and the 2025 race will be the 17th annual event. The Gilbert Half Marathon partners with Sole Sports.
