About the race
The Mystery 5K/Kids 1 Mile in Phoenix is a community fundraiser for Desert Mission Food Bank. The event includes a live 5K and a live Kids 1 Mile and offers a virtual option for the 5K only. Registration is limited to 150 runners and registration closes Friday, November 20, 2026 at 9:00 PM (GMT-7).

- 5K race, chip timed with age group awards in 14 categories.
- Kids 1 Mile live race, no timing or awards.
The course is described as flat and follows the canal at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, with parking at the Lutheran church north of the park off 56th Street. The course includes a short unpaved trail section. All finishers choose two medals from past events; bib, wristband, snacks and a raffle entry are included. 5K runners may optionally choose one past race shirt while supplies last; only adult sizes are available. Virtual 5K participants report finishing times on the organizer website and receive virtual race packets when shipped. The Kids 1 Mile is live only; children may run one mile or less to earn a medal and a special finish treat. The event is organized by Run Your Race and is dog and stroller friendly.
