Walk or Run for Life
Walk or Run for Life takes place on May 2, 2026 at Spring Lake Park, 4303 N Park Rd, Texarkana, TX 75503. The event features running, walking, and a non-race donation option. Registration opens on February 27, 2026.

The 5K Run is organized as a competitive race with medals awarded for first, second, and third place within age categories. The registration fee for the 5K is $35 and registration closes May 1, 2026. The Walk for Life invites participants to take one or more laps around Spring Lake; registration for the walk is $15, includes a t-shirt, and closes May 1, 2026. The Sleep In option carries no registration fee, allows supporters to donate any amount, and has a registration close date of May 3, 2026.
Proceeds support 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center. The center’s services described for expectant women include raising awareness about abortion issues, offering comfort and peer counseling, providing pregnancy tests and limited ultrasounds, and helping families with physical and referral resources.
