Walk or Run for Life
Walk or Run for Life is scheduled from January 1 to May 1, 2027, at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, Texas. The event benefits 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center and supports its work to raise awareness about abortion issues, provide comfort and peer counseling, offer pregnancy tests and limited ultrasounds, and assist families with physical and referral resources.
The event offers multiple participation options and distances:
- 3.1 Miles
- One or two laps around Spring Lake
- No set distance for Sleep In
The 5K is presented as a competitive race with medals awarded for first, second, and third place in different age categories. The Walk for Life option includes registration that covers a t-shirt. The Sleep In option lets participants support the organization without attending in person and allows donations of any amount.
Registration details and fees are provided for each option. Fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K, $15.00 for the Walk for Life, and $0.00 for the Sleep In option.
