Race Overview
The Run the Line Half Marathon takes place in Texarkana, offering participants the chance to run through two states, Texas and Arkansas, in a single event. The course follows a USATF certified single-loop design (AR19015WJT) that begins at the intersection of W Broad Street and Texas Blvd. A portion of the route is positioned directly on the Texas-Arkansas State Line.
The event structure includes several participation options for the full distance:
- 13.1 Miles (Individual)
- 13.1 Miles (2-Person Relay Team)
- 13.1 Miles (4-Person Relay Team)
Course Details
The route utilizes 10-foot wide asphalt trails and winds through residential neighborhoods on city streets. After starting in downtown Texarkana, Texas, the path moves into Arkansas, returns to Texas, and concludes in Texarkana, Arkansas. The finish line is located at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House, situated approximately five blocks from the starting point.
This event is a member of the Road Runner Club of America and has applied for inclusion in the 2027 Arkansas Grand Prix Series. The race uses chip timing to track participants, and walkers are permitted to join runners on the course. All participants must complete the full distance within a 4-hour time limit.
