Run the Line Half Marathon
The Run the Line Half Marathon is a single-loop, USATF certified half marathon (AR19015WJT) held in Texarkana. The course crosses the Texas and Arkansas state line and uses 10-foot wide asphalt trails and city streets that wind through residential neighborhoods. A portion of the course follows the state line.
The event includes chip timing and welcomes runners, walkers, and relay teams. Race options listed for 2027 are:
- 13.1 Miles - individual half marathon
- 13.1 Miles - 2-person relay team
- 13.1 Miles - 4-person relay team
The course begins near W. Broad Street and Texas Boulevard in downtown Texarkana and finishes in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas, at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House, about five blocks from the start. Several parks along the route, including Jefferson Park, Ed Worrell Park, and Spring Lake Park, provide spectator viewing areas. There is food available at the finish area while the Hopkins Ice House is open.
The event is a Road Runner Club of America member event and has applied to be a qualifying race in the 2027 Natural State Running Series.
