Do the Haven Hustle 5K
The Do the Haven Hustle 5K is a fundraising road race held in Texarkana, Arkansas to benefit Haven Homes of Texarkana, a faith-based nonprofit that provides housing, recovery programs, counseling, and spiritual guidance for men and women affected by substance abuse and addiction. Haven Homes operates a Transitional Home for women coming out of the Bowie County Women’s Center, 12 to 18 month recovery centers for men and women, and sober-living homes for program graduates.
The event features a 5K (3.1 mile) course through historic downtown Texarkana. The race starts at the former State First National Bank building at 300 Olive Street and passes multiple local landmarks, including Saint Edwards Catholic Church, Beech Street Baptist Church, First United Methodist, the railyard, the two-state Stateline Federal Building and Post Office, the Perot Theater, and City Hall. The weekend program includes Friday packet pick-up, the 5K race on Saturday, and a Saturday all-day car show at Beech Street Baptist Church with food trucks, games, trophies, and prizes. Race registration fees are listed as $35 for early registration, which includes a T-shirt, and $45 for late registration. Race registration opens May 4, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026.
