Do the Haven Hustle 5K
The Do the Haven Hustle 5K is a fundraiser running event held in downtown Texarkana, Texas. The race covers 3.1 miles and is organized to benefit Haven Homes of Texarkana, a faith-based non-profit that serves men and women affected by drug abuse, alcoholism, and addiction.
Registration opens May 4, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026. Early registration is listed at $35 and includes a race T-shirt; late registration is listed at $45.
Event weekend includes a Friday packet pick-up and the 5K on Saturday. A light continental breakfast is provided at the central start and finish location, and awards are given for each race category.
The course starts and finishes at the Perot Theatre at 221 Main Street, Texarkana, TX, and runs through historic downtown Texarkana. The route passes several local landmarks, including the Ace of Clubs House, First United Methodist, the Stateline Federal Building and Post Office, Hotel Grim, Silvermoon on Broad, City Hall, war memorials, the Arts Park, and various local murals.
Haven Homes offers safe housing, work and service programs, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Programs described include a transitional home for women, 12 to 18 month recovery centers for men and women, and sober-living homes for program graduates.
