Walk In My Shoes 5K Run For Children's Mental Health Awareness takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Quiet Waters Park, Bald Eagle Pavilion, 401 Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach, FL. The event is the 9th annual edition and is dedicated to raising awareness about children's mental health and reducing stigma. Funds raised will benefit youth and families served by Change Me Foundation programs. The post-race celebration at Bald Eagle Pavilion will include food, activities, and live music by an Emmy-nominated singer. No refunds will be issued.
Race details and logistics
- 5K out-and-back course along the park's water route, start and finish at Bald Eagle Pavilion.
- Additional events: Walk-In My Shoes 5K Kid's Races (ages 8 and under) and Walk-In My Shoes 5K Run 16 & Under.
Entry fees listed on the event page: $35 for the main 5K, $20 for the 16 & under race, and free for the kids' races. Race fees increase after May 10, 2026. Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for May 15, 2026, at Quiet Waters Park; race day packet pick-up is available on May 16 at the park. All finishers receive a medal; participants receive a T-shirt and a collectible race bib. Awards include first overall male/female masters and top three male/female in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Donations are tax-deductible.
