RTR 5K for Recovery Run/Walk
The event is organized by Recovery Through Repetition (RTR), a nonprofit organization that supports individuals affected by addiction by offering fitness classes, community opportunities, and career development scholarships. The 5K aims to raise funds and awareness for mental health and recovery during Mental Health Awareness Month.
The event offers two participation options: a 5K Run/Walk and a Sleep In Option. The Sleep In Option allows supporters to receive an event shirt and finisher medal by mail if they cannot attend. It operates on an honor system for completing the distance.
All finishers who cross the line receive a finisher medal. Participants in the 5K Run/Walk are eligible for age group awards. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three masters (male and female), and top three male and female finishers in various age groups starting from 10 and under up to 80+.
Registered participants receive a cotton t-shirt. Packet pick-up is available at two locations in Boca Raton (FTX Performance and Runners Edge) on specific dates before the event, as well as on race morning at the venue.
The event is held at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC), with free parking available on site. Race day photos are provided for free download. Professional timing is handled by Accuchip Timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
