RTR 5K for Recovery Run/Walk
The RTR 5K for Recovery Run/Walk-Shining a Light on Mental Health is an annual event held at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus in Florida. Organized by Recovery Through Repetition (RTR), a nonprofit organization, the race takes place during Mental Health Awareness Month. The event focuses on raising awareness for mental health and supporting individuals in recovery from addiction.
Participants can choose from the following options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Sleep In Option
The 5K Run/Walk is a timed event using Accuchip Timing. All participants who complete the course receive a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, the top three masters, and the top three finishers in several age categories starting from 10 and under up to 80 and older. Cotton t-shirts are provided to participants while supplies last.
The Sleep In Option allows individuals to support the cause remotely. Those choosing this category receive a shirt and medal by mail but are not eligible for traditional awards.
The event venue at 5000 T-Rex Ave offers free parking. Participants can pick up their race packets at designated local fitness and running stores in the days leading up to the race or on-site on the morning of the event. Professional race photos are provided for digital download after the conclusion of the activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
