Walk for Resilience 5K
The Walk for Resilience 5K is a community-centered mental health event hosted by Carmel’s Depression & Anxiety Wellness Foundation (CDAWF) in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event combines a timed 5K with a focus on awareness, connection, and support for people affected by depression and anxiety. Participants may walk, jog, or run at their own pace. Proceeds support CDAWF’s mental health education, wellness programming, and community outreach, helping provide resources, coping tools, and access to support for individuals and families.
Registration is not yet open. Race services include professional timing with bibs, warm up and cool down, water and light snacks, DJ and sound support, community resource presence, port-a-potties, bag drop, and a calm, inclusive race-day experience aligned with the event’s mental wellness focus. Results are available live online, by text, and by email, and finish line photos are provided free the same day. Personalized bibs are available for registrations completed three weeks in advance. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and to the top 100 finishers. Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; last-minute registrants within 24 hours receive their bib number by text within about 90 seconds.
