Cranford Santa Run
The Cranford Santa Run features a 5K course located at 1033 Springfield Ave in Cranford, New Jersey. This event combines a running race with a festive holiday theme, where participants are encouraged to wear seasonal attire while completing the distance. The route consists of a relatively flat course that utilizes both local roads and paved trails.
Participants can choose between different registration options regarding their event gear. One option provides a long sleeve shirt and a Santa hat, while another allows individuals to wear their own Santa-themed attire. All participants receive a finisher medal and a bib. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are provided with donuts as a post-race treat.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Live Run Give Christmas Fund. Proceeds from the race are directed toward supporting families who have been impacted financially by cancer. Support for the event is coordinated in conjunction with local law enforcement to ensure a managed environment for all attendees.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall. Additionally, age group awards are designated for the top three male and female finishers in several categories:
- 10 and Under
- 11-15
- 16-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-79
