NYCRUNS Ugly Sweater 5K
The NYCRUNS Ugly Sweater 5K is a festive event held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Participants are invited to wear their most unique holiday sweaters for a run through the park. This event is open to various participants, including athletes in the Handcycle and Wheelchair Divisions.
The 5K course consists of just under one full loop of Prospect Park. The route concludes with a final sprint up Center Drive to the finish line. All courses provided by the organizer are USATF-certified. To maintain safety and organization, a pace-based corral system is used for the start, with assignments based on participants' established running paces.
The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and serves as the central hub for the event. Participants can find various amenities here, including:

Amenities at the site include a bag check service, portable bathrooms, and hydration stations offering water and sports drinks. After crossing the finish line, runners receive refreshments such as bagels and fresh fruit. Each finisher is awarded a medal and a tech shirt, which must be collected on-site on the day of the race.
