Wadsworth Trog
Wadsworth Trog is a BL fell race held from Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge. The route is about 19.3 miles (31 km) with approximately 3642 ft (1110 m) of ascent and includes navigational sections across exposed terrain. The minimum age to enter is 18.
The event is licensed by the Fell Runners Association under UKA rules and is run as a non GPS race. Competitors may use a GPS device to record their route but electronic devices must not be used to aid navigation except in an emergency. If GPS navigation is used to reach safety, the competitor must declare themselves non competitive at the finish.
FRA mandatory minimum kit is required. This includes waterproof full body cover (waterproof trousers and a waterproof jacket with taped seams and an integrated hood), a hat (not a buff), gloves, map, compass, whistle and emergency food. Kit will be checked before race numbers are issued; incorrect kit will prevent racing. Due to the time of year and exposed sections, an extra base layer is recommended.
Entry is by pre entry via SiEntries, with entries opening 24 November 2025 and closing 6 February 2026. Entry fees are £15 for FRA members and £17 for non members, and the race has a limit of 200 entries; very limited entry on the day may be available. Parking at the venue is very limited so car sharing and use of public transport are encouraged. The route uses Sportident chip timing at checkpoints and finishes at Old Town Cricket Club (Grid ref SD998285). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
