Wadsworth Trog
The Wadsworth Trog is an English fell race located in the South and West Pennines. The event starts and finishes at the Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge. Participants cover a distance of 31 km (19.3 miles) with a total ascent of 1110 m (3642 ft).
This event is classified as a Category BL race. Due to the nature of the terrain and the distance, specific skills are required for all participants, including experience in fell running (ER), local knowledge (LK), and navigation skills (NS). All runners must be at least 18 years old to participate.
Registration is available via pre-entry or on the day of the event, though on-the-day entries are limited. The race includes a mandatory kit check for all runners prior to the start. The venue has limited car parking, and participants are encouraged to car share where possible.
The event allows for team participation, with prizes awarded to both men's and women's teams. The course records are currently held by Karl Gray for the men (02:27:24, set in 2015) and Nichola Jackson for the women (02:51:26, set in 2017).
