Event

Hoofstones Fell Race is a Category BM fell race covering 12.9 km with a listed climb of about 425 m. Navigation skills are required; the event notes codes ER, PM, LK and NS. The minimum age is 18. The race holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.

Location and route

Race headquarters are at the Staff of Life Pub on Burnley Road, Todmorden, Lancashire (OL14). Refreshments and prize giving take place in the pub. What3words location is provided by the organiser.

Entry and kit

Pre-entry is available with fees of £7 for FRA members and £8 for non-members. Entry on the day is permitted, with fees listed as £10 for members and £12 for non-members. Entries are shown as opening 23 November 2025 and closing 29 January 2026. Team prizes count three to score for men and three to score for women.

Required kit follows full FRA requirements: waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof trousers, hat, gloves, compass, whistle, map and emergency food.
