Course and facilities

The main course is a single-lap, undulating route that mixes canal towpath, riverside trail and public footpaths with an elevation gain of about 200 m. The course will be marked and marshalled at key points, and runners receive a route map or description on entry. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Facilities at the race headquarters include toilets and bag storage. Water refill stations are provided, but the event is cupless and all runners must bring their own water container. Runners are required to carry warm clothing suitable for winter conditions; trail shoes are advised. Organisers note the route may be diverted if flood relief works along the River Aire affect the course. The nearest train station is Headingley, approximately 800 m away. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
