Winter Solstice Strider 2026
The Winter Solstice Strider takes place on Monday 21 December 2026 at St Ives Estate, Bingley. The event is a night run held after dark with options for in-person circuits and a virtual entry option for those who cannot attend in person.
Distances and options:
- 5 kilometres single circuit
- 10 kilometres two circuits
- Virtual 5 kilometres or 10 kilometres option
The course is multi terrain with an undulating profile. Walkers may complete the single 5 kilometre circuit only. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. All participants are chip timed and receive a bespoke Solstice Strider medal. Race headquarters is at STRI, St Ives Estate. The event is supported by STRI and Bingley St. Ives Golf Club and sponsored by Warters and Co. Chartered accountants.
Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage on site. Entry is limited to 720 places. A reduced entry price is available for 6 to 17 year olds when accompanied by an adult. Entry fees for in-person and virtual options are stated as part of the event information.
