Winter Solstice Strider 2026
The Winter Solstice Strider takes place on Monday 21 December 2026 at St Ives Estate, Bingley. The event is a night run with options for an in-person 5 km or 10 km route and a virtual entry for those who choose to run at a location of their choice on the shortest day. All in-person participants are chip timed and receive a bespoke Solstice Strider medal.

- 5 km, one circuit (walkers may take this option; accompanied youth entry available)
- 10 km, two circuits
The course is multi terrain with an undulating profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters is at STRI, St Ives Estate. The event is organised by Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and is supported by STRI and Bingley St. Ives Golf Club; it is sponsored by Warters and Co. Chartered accountants.
Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Entry is limited to 720 competitors. Entry fee categories include adult 5 km and 10 km, a reduced accompanied youth price for 6 to 17 year olds, and a virtual entry that includes medal and postage.
