Scurry Around Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival 2027
The event is the seventh Vogrie (Tyne Valley) trail running festival, organised by Scurry Events at Vogrie Country Park on 17 January 2027. Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1.6 km family fun run
Routes are clearly marked and marshaled. The courses use mixed terrain across estate paths, woodlands and the Tyne Valley. The 5 km is one lap. The 10 km and the half marathon use two mixed terrain laps around the park, and the half marathon includes an additional wider lap that goes out of the park and around Pathhead, the home of Jump Ship Brewing.
The race start and finish are set in front of the Victorian baronial manor house. After the event participants are offered post race drinks and snacks. Half marathon participants receive a race memento, a medal and a Jump Ship beer. Hot and cold drinks and other refreshments are available in the Tree Top cafe.
The festival format includes clearly defined courses, on-course marshals and on-site refreshments, with a mix of shorter and longer distances suitable for family and individual entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
