Scurry Around Vogrie Country Park Trail Running Festival 2027
Scurry Events stages the seventh Vogrie (Tyne Valley) trail running festival at Vogrie Country Park. The event offers multiple waymarked and marshaled mixed terrain routes across estate paths, woodlands and the Tyne Valley.
Distances
- Half Marathon: two mixed terrain laps with an additional wider lap out of the park
- 10km: two mixed terrain laps around estate paths and woodlands
- 5km: one mixed terrain lap
- 1.6km: family fun run on a marked trail
The race start and finish are set in front of the Victorian baronial manor house. The Half Marathon route includes an extended loop that goes out of the park and around Pathhead, noted as the location of Jump Ship Brewing.
Post race provisions include a drink and snacks for participants. Half Marathon finishers receive a race memento, a medal and a Jump Ship beer. Hot and cold drinks and other refreshments will be available in the Tree Top cafe on site.
The event is presented as a series of clearly marked, marshaled trail runs across mixed surfaces, with on-course marshals and signage guiding participants along the routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
