About the race
The Portobello Beach Race is a 4-mile running event held on the sand of Portobello Beach in Edinburgh, scheduled for August 24, 2025. The course starts below the registration area at Towerbank Primary School and follows the beach eastward to a marker near the pumping station, then returns along the beach to a turnaround point near the Cat and Dog Home before finishing back at the start.
