Forth Road Bridge 10K (2026)
The event is a UKA licensed 10K road race on 30 August 2026 that starts at North Queensferry Community Centre and finishes at the Fife bridgehead at the north end of the Forth Road Bridge. The course has an official measurement.
The route is undulating through North Queensferry and down to Jamestown, includes an out and back section of about 600 m, follows the Eastern walkway of the bridge, passes under the bridge on a service road, then uses the West walkway to return north across the bridge to the finish. The race is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
There is no on the day registration. Race numbers and timing chips will be posted approximately one week before the event by Eventfull. Total places are limited to 375. Prices shown for entries until 3 August 2026 are £19 (discounted) and £22 (standard). A service fee applies to each sign-up.
There is no parking at the community centre. The multi storey Ferrytoll Park and Ride is recommended and is about a 15 minute walk to the centre. Directions from the Park and Ride to the centre use the pavement alongside the motorway and a set of stairs up into North Queensferry. Public transport and car sharing are recommended.
No changing rooms or showers are available. Toilets are provided. Bags may be left at the owner’s risk.
Headphones worn in the ears are not permitted on open roads except for medically prescribed devices. Bone conducting headphones are allowed. Any in ear headphones may lead to disqualification.
A self serve water station with recyclable cups will be provided on the course; competitors are asked not to drop cups on or over the bridge and to bring additional water if required. A post race buffet will be available at the community centre and participants are encouraged to bring their own cup and plate to reduce waste.
Prizes include trophies for overall winners including non binary and age group prizes for male and female. Results will be published on the Eventfull and Scottish Athletics websites.
The Forth Road Bridge Authority may cancel the race in high winds. In that case runners will be automatically deferred to the 2027 event unless a full refund is requested. Transfers can be managed by entrants on Entry Central until 1 August 2026. Withdrawals require formal contact with the organiser and do not carry an automatic refund or deferral.
