Forth Road Bridge 10K (30 Aug 2026)
The event is a UKA licensed road race with an official course measurement covering a distance of 10 km. The race starts outside North Queensferry Community Centre and finishes at the north end of the Forth Road Bridge at the Fife Bridgehead.
The course follows an undulating route through North Queensferry and down to Jamestown, includes an out-and-back section of about 600 m, then proceeds over the eastern walkway of the bridge. Runners descend a service road beneath the bridge, emerge on the west walkway and return north across the bridge to the finish. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
There is no parking at the community centre. Participants are advised to use the Ferrytoll Park and Ride multi-storey car park, which is about a 15 minute walk from the centre. Access from the Park and Ride uses the pavement alongside the motorway and a set of stairs up to North Queensferry. Where possible participants are asked to car share or use public transport.
There are no showers or changing facilities at the community centre; toilets are available and leaving bags or kit is at the owner’s risk. Race numbers and timing chips are sent out in advance; there is no on-the-day registration. Headphones are not permitted on open roads except bone conducting or medically prescribed devices. A self-serve water station with recyclable cups will be available on course and a post-race buffet will be provided at the community centre. Prize giving will present trophies to overall winners including non-binary, and age group prizes for male and female. In high winds the Forth Road Bridge Authority may cancel the event; in that case entrants are deferred to 2027 unless a full refund is requested. Transfers are self-managed on the entry platform until the stated transfer deadline; withdrawals do not receive a refund or deferral. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
