Virginia's Blue Ridge Triple Crown & Bank of Botetourt Triple Crown Sprint Series

The series links three running events in the Roanoke, Virginia area in 2025. The Star City Half Marathon takes place on November 22, 2025 in Roanoke, VA 24014. The Triple Crown and Sprint Series combine races held across spring, fall, and late fall 2025.

• The Salem Half Marathon - October 11, 2025
• The Star City Half Marathon - November 22, 2025
• The Anthem Star 10K or Freedom First Team Relay - April 12, 2025
• The Salem Half 8K - October 11, 2025
• The Star City 10K - November 22, 2025

Qualification, registration, and medals

To earn the Virginia's Blue Ridge Triple Crown medal, participants must register for and complete all three half marathon or longer races. To earn the Bank of Botetourt Triple Crown Sprint Series medal, participants must register for and complete the three shorter races listed above. A Mix & Match option allows a combination of half marathon(s) and shorter races totaling three races (one in each of the Blue Ridge, Salem, and Star City events) to qualify for the Sprint Series medal.

Participants must register for each race separately and use the same email address for all three registrations. Medals are limited to 175 participants per category. For 2025, at least two of the three races must be completed in person. Medal pickup is preferred at the Star City Half Marathon; mailing is available for a small fee.
