Jingle Bell 5K - Roanoke
The Jingle Bell 5K takes place in Roanoke, Virginia on December 12, 2026 at 210 Reserve Avenue. The course runs along the Roanoke River Greenway and is described as flat and mostly flat. The advertised distance for the in-person event is 3.1 Miles.
The event is chip timed by Run Roanoke timing. Final results will be posted on the Run Roanoke website and there will be a live text of results on race day. Finishers receive custom finisher ornaments engraved with the event logo and year. Participants who register by November 10 receive an event BoCo gear beanie.
There are three registration options: an in person 5K, a VIRTUAL Jingle Bell 5K, and a No Frills Jingle Bell 5K. Registration fees listed are $25 for the standard and virtual 5K options and $12 for the No Frills option. Registration for the virtual 5K opens July 23, 2026; in person and No Frills registration opens October 10, 2026. Some registration options close in October while others remain available through December 12, 2026.
The No Frills Family registration lets groups of four or five register at a reduced fee; No Frills registrations include a chip timed bib and finisher ornament only, and those participants remain eligible for age group and overall awards. Event shirts may be available for purchase on or after race day.
Packet pickup locations are RunAbout Sports Roanoke at 3635 Franklin Road on December 11, 2026 and the race location at 210 Reserve Avenue on December 12, 2026. Parking is available at the race location, on adjacent streets, or at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine parking garage at 2 Riverside Circle. The event will be held rain or shine.
