Virginia Marathon

Virginia Marathon, developed by Old Dominion Racing, runs from historic Middleburg, Virginia—in Virginia’s horse and wine country. It offers five distances: Full Marathon, Merikos-3/4 Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k. The course travels paved roads with some gravel through Loudoun and Fauquier counties, showcasing horse farms, rolling countryside, and shade, with Bull Run Mountain as a challenge on the longer distances.

Start and finish are at The Hill School, near Middleburg’s boutiques and eateries. Notable features include a hoodie for full-marathon finishers, a commemorative tech shirt, finisher medals, post-race snacks, vouchers, and optional shuttles, plus live music and charitable beneficiaries such as the Piedmont Environmental Council and The Hill School.
