About the race
The event is staged at Three Fox Vineyard in Delaplane, Virginia, and offers a 5k and a 1-mile option on the winery property. Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Sippin' Series.
Distances:
- 5k three laps of the vineyard loop
- 1-Miler single loop, available as an adult and a kids race
The 5k course is three laps around the vineyard loop. The surface is a mixture of gravel road, grass, and dirt, with hills on the backside of the winery. The layout is a combination of cross country and gravel road; the finish is located next to the outdoor wine tasting area. Course elevation details are available on the course map page.
Event services include chip timing, a technical event shirt, and a finisher medal for all participants. Runners also receive a glass of wine or beer. Awards are presented for the 5k and the kids 1-miler, including overall top three men and women and age group awards across standard age categories. Live results are posted on Athlinks and a QR code is available at the race for immediate result viewing. Water stations are located by the start and finish and are accessible each loop; some stations offer Gatorade. Restrooms are available at the winery and packet pickup is available at the event. A virtual race option is offered for those who cannot attend in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
