Merry & Bright Holiday Shuffle - Ashburn
- 3.1 miles in-person 5k at Broadlands Hillside Park
- 3.1 miles virtual Run Anywhere 5k
The Merry & Bright Holiday Shuffle is a seasonal 5k that runs through the Broadlands neighborhood in Ashburn, Virginia. The in-person course starts and finishes at Broadlands Hillside Park and follows neighborhood streets so participants can pass decorated homes and holiday lights.
There are two event options: an in-person 5k at Broadlands Hillside Park and a virtual Run Anywhere 5k that can be completed from any location. In-person entries include a choice of an ugly sweater style pom hat or an ugly sweater long sleeve tech shirt plus the 2026 Merry & Bright 5k medal. Virtual entries receive the same swag choices, which will be mailed to the address provided at registration.
Organizers will collect gently worn or new coat donations for Women Giving Back; virtual participants are offered the option to donate locally or, if in Ashburn, drop off at the Broadlands HOA. Registration opens on 2026-10-27 for both options. In-person registration closes on 2026-11-06 with a fee of $25.00; virtual registration closes on 2026-11-17 with a fee of $30.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
