The Veterans Heritage Ridge Run is a fundraising event. Proceeds support the construction and upkeep of Sharps Ridge Veterans Memorial Park. The event offers multiple race formats, including a traditional 10K Ruck Race.
Location and Course
The event starts at the Lincoln Park Technology Trade School at 535 Chickamauga Ave in Knoxville, Tennessee. The courses are loops on the well-marked hiking trails of Sharps Ridge. The terrain is described as largely wooded and hilly.
Event Options
Participants can choose from several events. These include a timed 5K trail run, a 1-mile family fun walk, a 10K ruck race, and corresponding virtual 5K and 10K options. All in-person events take place on the Sharps Ridge trails.
Additional Information
The event includes a traditional in-person day and a separate virtual event window. For virtual participants, results can be submitted manually or via the RaceJoy app, and they receive a race shirt but are not eligible for awards.
