The Big Run 5k - Knoxville
The Big Run 5k takes place on June 3, 2026 at The Cove, 11808 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37922. The event offers two 5K options: an untimed fun run and a timed race. Registration opens February 1 and closes June 2. Advance fees are $25 for the untimed 5K and $30 for the timed 5K; race-day fees increase to $30 and $35 respectively.
The course is an out-and-back on the greenway. Participants run past the bridge and a new section under Northshore Drive to a turnaround point. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
Packet pickup is available Tuesday, June 2, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at Fleet Feet Knoxville, 11619 Parkside Dr, Knoxville, TN 37934. Race-day packet pickup at The Cove is offered separately for the untimed and timed events.
The timed 5K includes awards with Fleet Feet Knoxville gift cards for overall winners and for age group placings. Overall awards include $40 gift cards for top finishers in several overall and master categories. Age group awards use $20, $15, and $10 gift cards and cover male and female divisions across standard age brackets.
Proceeds support the Knox County Parks and Rec Youth Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to Knox County youth for participation in county youth sports programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
