The Big Run 5k, Knoxville
The Big Run 5k takes place in Knoxville on June 3, 2026, coinciding with Global Running Day. The event is based at The Cove, 11808 S Northshore Dr, and uses an out-and-back course on the greenway that passes a bridge and a new section under Northshore Dr to a turnaround point.
Two event options are offered: a timed 5K and an untimed fun run 5K. Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes June 2, 2026. Early registration is listed at $25 and a higher fee is listed for race day at $30; the timed event and the untimed fun run have separate fee listings.
Finisher medals are provided. Proceeds benefit the Knox County Parks and Rec Youth Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance for Knox County youth to participate in county youth sports programs.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet Knoxville, 11619 Parkside Dr, on Tuesday, June 2 from 10:00am to 7:00pm for both event options. Additional pickup windows at The Cove are listed for the morning fun run and the evening timed run on June 3. The timed 5K includes overall awards with a $40 Fleet Feet gift card for top finishers and age group awards with $20, $15, and $10 Fleet Feet gift cards across standard age divisions.
