Veterans Day 5K Run / Walk - Islandia
The event is the 3rd annual Veterans Day 5K Run / Walk presented by VFW Post 12144 in Islandia, New York. It includes a main 5K and a Kids Fun Run for participants 14 and under. The course starts and ends near the Veterans Memorial in front of VFW Post 12144 at 1218 Old Nichols Road, Islandia.
Registration is handled through VFW Post 12144. Pre-registration is available through November 7, 2026; card fees may apply. Fee levels listed by the organizer are:

Published fees include a pre-registration rate and a higher day-of-event rate. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by October 28, 2026. Age group awards are provided, and a barbecue is planned at the VFW after the event.
