Vermont Spartan Summer 24 Hour Hurricane Heat - Pittsfield, VT

The Vermont Spartan Summer 24 Hour Hurricane Heat is a team-based adventure challenge held June 26-27, 2026 at Riverside Farm, 105 Tweed River Dr., Pittsfield, Vermont. The event takes place in the local mountain terrain and identifies Vermont as the birthplace of the first Hurricane Heat.

The Hurricane Heat format exchanges measured course distance for a timed, continuous experience. Each Hurricane Heat lasts 24 hours and is designed for teams rather than individual winners; teams work together to solve complex physical and mental problems and continue together through the event. The event lists more than 40 distinct challenges and is open to participants aged 18 and older.

Race day information available for the event includes arrival and heat times, mandatory gear, what finishers earn, volunteer and race-for-free opportunities, and local accommodation guidance. Racing as a team is the only way to secure the same start time as teammates and team ticketing may include group savings. Eligible US service members, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and certain government employees may qualify for a verification-based discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
