Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race
The Valley of Hartford 5K Road Race is a running and walking event held in Newington, Connecticut. The event consists of a 5 km distance that follows a two-loop course starting and ending at 207 Deming Street, in front of the Scottish Rite Building. The route traverses Cambridge, Lexington, and Culver, eventually finishing in the Scottish Rite parking lot.
The race course features a scenic route with a variety of elevations, including moderate hills. Water stations are positioned along the course, and volunteers are present to guide participants. Timing services are provided by Payne's Corner Timing using the Trident RFID system.

Event participants have access to a variety of refreshments, including baked pastries, fruits, sports drinks, and water. Wellness services are available on-site, featuring massage tables, cupping, and compression boots. Indoor air-conditioned restrooms are accessible to attendees.

Additionally, first and second-place trophies are awarded for male and female participants in age divisions ranging from 9-13 up to 80 and older. All proceeds from the event support the Children's Dyslexia Centers of Connecticut.
