Move With the Urban League
Move With the Urban League is a summer community event in Hartford that highlights many ways people stay active, including running, walking, stretching, playing and dancing. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcomed.
Registered participants take part in road races, followed by a free kids run and a team competition hosted by the Urban League of Greater Hartford Young Professionals.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Throughout the day the community can access a range of free fitness activities, crafts, giveaways, food and live entertainment while gathering in historic Keney Park. The event is supported by RTX and is connected to the legacy of an RTX – Pratt & Whitney executive and Urban League board officer who emphasized fitness participation.
A charity component called Run For Good benefits the Urban League of Greater Hartford. Funds support programs that aim to improve racial equity and economic empowerment through education, employment, housing, health and social justice initiatives.
