Vale of Clwyd 5k
The Vale of Clwyd 5k is based at the southern end of the Vale of Clwyd, starting and finishing at the Caravan Park & Cafe at Llanbenwch, near Ruthin. The route is exactly 5k and follows a loop that uses minor roads and public footpaths.
The course is multi terrain, with a mix of minor road and trail surfaces. Runners encounter the odd short gentle climb, though much of the route is relatively flat and allows for steady running. The setting includes open countryside and views across the Vale of Clwyd.
The event is electronically timed. There are category prizes and all participants receive a medal. Facilities are provided for runners and spectators at the caravan park location, and a cafe is situated at the start and finish area.
