Vale of Clwyd 5k
The Vale of Clwyd 5k is a looped road and trail event based at the southern end of the Vale of Clwyd. The event uses the Caravan Park and Cafe at Llanbenwch near Ruthin as its base, with the route starting and finishing at the caravan park.
The course is exactly 5k and is multi terrain in nature, combining minor roads and public footpaths. The route includes occasional short gentle climbs but is mostly fairly flat, offering a mix of trail and road surfaces and countryside views.
The event is electronically timed, offers category prizes, and all participants receive a medal. There are facilities for runners and spectators on site, and a cafe at the caravan park is available for pre race and post race use.
