Sea 2 Summit - Offa's Dyke Half/Full/Ultra
Sea 2 Summit is a set of trail races that follow the Offa's Dyke National Trail from Prestatyn seafront into the Clwydian Hills, with event hub at Prestatyn Nova Centre. Distances on offer include:
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon (55.5 km)
The route uses the National Trail waymarkers and moves south from the town into hill terrain. There are no independent route markings until the final climb to each summit. Finish locations differ by distance: Moel y Parc Summit for the half, Moel Gyw Summit for the full, and Horseshoe Pass Summit for the ultra.
Checkpoint points are provided along the course and are located at Mynydd y Cwm (11 km), Grove Hall Bodfari (20 km), Bwlch Penbarras (41 km) and Llandegla (48 km). Coach travel is available to ticket purchasers and competitors are advised to have a support driver available in case they need to leave the course early.
The event will use GPS tracking in 2026 and will award a bespoke wooden finisher medal. Because of winter terrain and weather risk, all participants must carry minimum kit: full body waterproof cover, hat and gloves, spare thermal top, foil blanket, route map provided, whistle, a fully charged mobile phone and at least 500 ml of water to start. Entry fees range from GBP 38.50 to GBP 59.50. The next scheduled race date is 6 December 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
