Sea 2 Summit - Offa's Dyke Half/Full/Ultra
Sea 2 Summit is a trail event that follows the Offa's Dyke National Trail, starting at Prestatyn seafront and using the trail waymarkers into the Clwydian Hills. The route progresses south from the town and finishes on hill summits; the ultra distance finishes at the Horseshoe Pass.
Checkpoints are located at Mynydd y Cwm (11 km), Grove Hall Bodfari (20 km), Bwlch Penbarras (41 km) and Llandegla (48 km). There are no independent route markings while on the Offa's Dyke footpath; additional markings appear only after leaving the trail for the final climb to each summit. GPS tracking will be used for the 2026 event, and finishers receive a bespoke wooden medal.
Coach travel is available to ticket holders and departs from the finish car park; competitors are advised to have a support driver available in case they need early collection. Due to terrain and possible winter weather, all participants must carry minimum kit: a full body waterproof cover, hat and gloves, a spare thermal top, a foil blanket, the provided route map, a whistle, a fully charged mobile phone, and at least 500 ml of water at the start.
The event is organised from Prestatyn Nova Centre and offers multiple distance options for trail runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
