Vaisakhi 5K - Run for Fauja Singh

The Vaisakhi 5K is the 11th annual community run rooted in New York's Sikh Sangat. The event takes place at Victory Field, 83-34 Woodhaven Blvd, Woodhaven, NY. It honors Fauja Singh and combines community, faith, and sport.

The course is mapped and uses a single out and back with a midpoint U turn. The starting and finishing point is marked on the map as the green dot and the midpoint U turn is marked as the red dot. On return participants veer to the right and run one lap counterclockwise to the finish line. An interactive course map is available.

Amenities include live online, text and email results, free finish line photos and video, personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance, a participant medal for all finishers, on site refreshments before and after the run, and a complimentary T shirt. Event staff handle bib pickup starting one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup and last minute registrants within 24 hours receive their bib number by text.

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall, and to the top male and top female in age groups 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Registration is not yet open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
