Vaisakhi 5K - Run for Fauja Singh
The Vaisakhi 5K is an annual community running event held at Victory Field in Woodhaven, New York. The event is presented as the 11th annual edition and honors Fauja Singh.
Registration is not yet open and will open before the event. Race administration provides live online, text, and email results as well as free same day finish line photos and video. All participants receive a medal and a complimentary T shirt; refreshments are available before and after the run. A personalized bib is available for participants who register at least three weeks in advance.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and to the top male and female in age groups 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Bib pickup is handled by event staff at the venue; a bib number is required for pickup and can be obtained via self lookup. Last minute registrants within 24 hours will receive their bib number by text within about 90 seconds.
The course uses a single start and finish point. The route includes a midpoint U turn and returns to run one lap counter clockwise to the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
