The Manhattanite 10K and 5K
The Manhattanite takes place in Riverside Park with the course routed over the seldom-seen Freedom Tunnel and along Manhattan’s waterfront. The park entry is at 84th Street and Riverside Drive; the start location is new this year due to construction.
The base loop is 3.1 miles long. 10K runners complete two timed laps and splits are uploaded in real time for every loop. Water stations are placed at roughly 1.5 mile intervals, with "Grab and Go" options that include water, Gatorade, and gels.
Race items and services include a technical T-shirt in male and female cuts, a 4-inch die-cast finisher medal with full-color ribbon, a personalized finisher video, finisher photography, and live tracking. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance and to the top three age group finishers male and female across age categories from 19 and under through the 70s. Post-race refreshments include bagels with cream cheese, organic jelly, and peanut butter.
Packet pick-up is available only on race day and participants must bring a picture ID. Each bib is issued with a timing chip attached. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
