The Manhattanite
The Manhattanite is a road race on December 5, 2026, at Riverside Park in Manhattan. The event offers two distances and uses pro chip timing with live results and per-lap splits.
Distances
- 10K - 2 loops of 3.1 mi each
- 5K - 1 loop of 3.1 mi
The course runs along Riverside Park beside the Hudson River as an out-and-back on the same stretch of waterfront. The route includes short, steep hills rather than one long climb. The 10K runners complete two laps with a U-turn about 200 feet before the finish at the end of each lap; 5K runners complete a single lap and finish through the arch.
Race day services include bib pickup on race day only, bag check, portable toilets at the start, and pre-race announcements. Aid is provided on course with two water stations per loop offering water, Gatorade, and gels. Friends and family can follow runners with live tracking.
Every finisher receives a medal and a technical shirt, plus personalized race photos and video. Post-race refreshments include bagels, snacks, and drinks. Awards recognize the top three men and women overall in each distance with plaques and the top three in each age group with medals. The event is organized by CityTri Runs.
