2027 USA Fit Marathon, Shottenkirk KIA Fort Bend Half Marathon, & Simon Spine 5K
The 19th annual race weekend takes place on January 31, 2027 in Sugar Land at the University of Houston - Sugar Land, 14000 University Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479. The event presents three distances and welcomes runners and walkers.
- Marathon: minimum age 11; eight hour maximum time.
- Half Marathon: minimum age 8; six hour maximum time.
- Simon Spine 5K: family friendly; children under 9 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
The marathon course is generally flat, attracts spectators, and is certified as a Boston Qualifier. Participants receive official timing, a finisher medal, and a shirt; full and half marathoners registered by January 10, 2027 are guaranteed a long sleeve quarter zip pullover, otherwise short sleeve tech shirts are available. Water and aid stations remain open until the last participant passes, and medical personnel are present along the course.
Race logistics include two marathon wave starts, with one wave intended for athletes who expect a longer finish time and not eligible for overall or age group awards. Race switches are permitted before an event sells out; no switches are allowed on race day. Options also include VIP tent amenities and VIP parking. A school team competition offers a traveling trophy, cash prizes, and equipment awards for schools that meet participation thresholds and donation criteria.
