A Charlie Brown Christmas 5K/10K
The 5th Annual ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ 5K/10K takes place in Houston’s Energy Corridor. The event features an out-and-back course on Park Row Drive, starting and finishing at the Addicks Park and Ride. The route is described as flat and fast and is USATF certified.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10 km run or walk
- 5 km run or walk
- Kids Dash (untimed, for ages 12 and under)
- Virtual Edition (at-home option)
The 10 km course consists of a double loop of the 5 km route, while the Kids Dash takes place on a loop within the parking facility. All participants in the in-person events receive an officially licensed Peanuts finisher snow globe medal, a keepsake race bib, and a performance blend t-shirt. The event has a total registration limit of 2,000 participants.
The event includes a charitable component through a partnership with Memorial Assistance Ministries. Attendees are encouraged to donate new toys to the ‘Christmas Share’ program on event day. Post-race refreshments are provided, and appearances by holiday characters are scheduled. The 5K and 10K events are timed using RFID tags attached to the participant bibs, with awards available for top finishers in various age categories.
