Medal Madness 5K & 10K at Midlothian
The Medal Madness 5K & 10K is a recurring road running event held at Midlothian Mines Park in Midlothian, Virginia. This organized race features an out and back course design located near Loch Lothian, with the meeting point situated at the Headstock.
Participants can choose between two primary race distances:
- 5K: This distance requires runners to complete two laps of the out and back course.
- 10K: This distance requires runners to complete four laps of the out and back course.
The event is held on a paved out and back route measuring approximately 0.78 miles per leg. All participants are subject to a course time limit of 2:00 hours. Finisher medals are awarded to those who complete their respective events.
Registration must be completed in advance through the online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the race location, starting 30 minutes before the official start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the race. Participants are also encouraged to participate in a costume contest, with an award given for the best costume. Points earned during this race contribute to the US Road Running series.
