Event information
The Extra Mile 5k takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Forest Hill Park in Richmond, Virginia (4021 Forest Hill Avenue, Richmond, VA 23225). The event is organized by Extra Mile Pediatrics and is the third edition of the race. Two event types are offered: an in-person 5k with an additional "Extra Mile" at the end, and a virtual version of the same distance.
Distances and format
- 4.1 miles - 5k + The Extra Mile (in-person)
- 4.1 miles - Virtual 5k + The Extra Mile
The in-person 5k plus the Extra Mile brings the total distance to 4.1 miles. In-person registration for the 5k + The Extra Mile includes a t-shirt if registered by March 15, 2026. Virtual registration also totals 4.1 miles; virtual participants receive a race medal and may purchase a race shirt if registered by March 15, 2026, with the shirt mailed along with the medal. Virtual participants can enter their race results between April 4, 2026 and April 17, 2026. Entry fees listed are $25 for the in-person event and $15 for the virtual event; the in-person price increases after December 31, 2025. Registration for the virtual event closes on April 11, 2026.
