Format and rules

A new loop begins at the start of each hour. Runners must be in the starting corral when the bell sounds and must complete each loop within the hour or they are eliminated. Loop 1 has no added weight. Starting on loop 2, runners add 1 lb of weight per loop, cumulative (loop 2 = 1 lb, loop 3 = 2 lbs, etc.). Organizers provide the weight; athletes must carry the required amount or receive a DNF. Packs or vests may be used and will be staged near the start. Headphones are allowed. The event continues until one runner completes a loop alone; that person is the last runner standing.
