Race Information
US Road Running organizes this event at John Slidell Park in Slidell, Louisiana. The competition takes place on an out-and-back course with multiple distance options. All participants must register in advance through the online platform as no on-site registration is available. Packet pickup is scheduled for the morning of the race, beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the first wave.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K: An out-and-back course completed two times.
- 10K: An out-and-back course completed four times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back course completed six times.
Course Details
The course for the 5K and 10K is based on a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment, totaling 1.56 miles per loop. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile out-and-back segment, totaling 2.16 miles per loop. A general course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants.
Additional Features
Finishers across all distances receive a medal. The event also includes a costume category where runners can compete for the "Best Costume" award.
