Medal Madness at John Slidell Park
The US Road Running event in Slidell, Louisiana, features multiple distance options held at John Slidell Park. This event is part of a larger running series and provides participants with the opportunity to earn finisher medals and series points. Registration must be completed online in advance, as no on-site registration is available.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The courses are designed as out-and-back routes. The 5K and 10K utilize a 0.78-mile course, totaling 1.56 miles per lap. Participants in the 5K complete this circuit twice, while those in the 10K complete it four times. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile out-and-back course (2.16 miles per lap) and requires six completed laps. All participants must finish their respective distances within a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concluding 10 minutes prior to the start. Parking is located at a designated area within walking distance of the start and finish line.
