Picayune Glow Run: The Arc of Pearl River County
The Picayune Glow Run is an evening community event held in Picayune, Mississippi on September 19, 2026. The event takes place at 801 Goodyear Blvd and runs rain or shine. The course is a certified USATF route.
The program includes multiple running options and family-friendly activities. Event features in the commons area at the start and finish include food trucks, a snowball stand, a drink tent, a DJ on stage, glow games, face painting, a photo booth, and inflatable play areas for children.
Registration benefits differ by distance. For the timed 5K, participants receive a goody bag with a race T-shirt, glow items, and a race bib, plus complimentary water and fruit during and after the event, and a participant medal. The 1 mile fun run registration includes glow items, a race bib, and a participant medal; a T-shirt is not included but can be purchased separately. An untimed 5K option is offered for participants who prefer a noncompetitive run or walk.
All proceeds from the event are given to The Arc of Pearl River County, a nonprofit organization that supports the rights and community inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
