US Road Running - Slidell
The US Road Running event in Slidell, Louisiana, features a series of asphalt running races held on a designated out-and-back course. The event serves as part of a recurring race series and is open to the public without specific qualification requirements. All participants must register through the RunSignup platform prior to the event, as on-site registration is not available.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K: A 3.1-mile run consisting of two laps on a 1.56-mile out-and-back circuit.
- 10K: A 6.2-mile run consisting of four laps on the 1.56-mile out-and-back circuit.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1-mile run consisting of six laps on a 2.16-mile out-and-back circuit.
All courses have a shared time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The start and finish area is located at 105 Robert Blvd, with nearby parking available within walking distance of the course. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their race.
Participants are invited to wear costumes during the event, as a best costume award is presented at the beginning of the race. Additionally, runners can earn points toward a seasonal series leaderboard. Packet pickup is conducted on-site shortly before the start of the events.
