Event Overview
The US Road Running event at Slidell, Louisiana, provides a series of timed running races held at John Slidell Park. The event includes three primary distances to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Course Details
The races utilize out-and-back course layouts. The 5K and 10K events follow an initial 0.78-mile segment. Participants in the 5K complete this specific course twice, while participants in the 10K complete it four times. The Half Marathon follows a different course layout where runners complete a 2.16-mile out-and-back loop six times.
There is a formal course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants.
Participation and Logistics
Registration must be completed in advance through RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is scheduled at the location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start.
Parking is located at a designated area within walking distance of the start and finish lines. All finishers receive a medal. Participants may also take part in a best costume competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
