Luau 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon at Slidell
The US Road Running event in Slidell, Louisiana, takes place at John Slidell Park. This event features three distinct distance options for participants:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All three distances utilize an out-and-back course format. The 5K and 10K participants follow a 0.78-mile route (1.56 miles per lap), with the 5K completing the course twice and the 10K completing it four times. The Half Marathon follows a 1.09-mile out-and-back route (2.16 miles per lap) and must be completed six times. There is a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all events.
Packet pickup is conducted on-site starting 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior to the race. Registration must be completed online in advance, as there are no on-site registration options available. Parking is located within walking distance of the start and finish area. Following the completion of the race, all participants receive a finisher medal. The event also includes opportunities for series points, awards, and a best costume competition.
