Event Overview
The event takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Hickory, North Carolina. It is held at Hickory City Park at 1581 12th St Dr NW. Participants can register for two distances: a 5K and a Half Marathon. Both races start at the same time.
Race Details
Parking and restrooms are available at the Trailhead. The registration area and starting line are north of the VFW, across from the intersection of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start and ends 10 minutes before the race. All participants must register online; there is no on-site registration.
Course Information
Both courses are out-and-back loops. The 5K course uses a 1.56-mile out-and-back segment, which runners complete two times. The Half Marathon course uses a 2.18-mile out-and-back segment, which runners complete six times. The time limit for the course is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Additional Information
All finishers receive a themed medal. Costumes are encouraged but not required; a group photo is taken at the start of each race, and a best costume award is given. The event earns points for the US Road Running Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
