US Road Running - Northlakes
The upcoming event in Hickory, North Carolina, features a multiple-distance running competition held at Hickory City Park. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward the seasonal standings. All registration must be completed online in advance, as there is no option for on-site registration.
The event consists of two main distances:
- 5K - This course follows an out-and-back route measuring 1.56 miles, which participants complete twice.
- Half Marathon - This course follows an out-and-back route measuring 2.18 miles, which participants complete six times.
Participants are subject to a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Every runner who completes their selected distance will be awarded a themed finisher medal. While not mandatory, the organizer encourages wearing costumes, and an award for the best costume is presented following a group photo at the start of the race.
Parking and restroom facilities are situated at the local Trailhead. The registration area and starting line are located north of the VFW, positioned across the street from the junction of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW.
