Medal Madness 5K and 13.1M : Hickory, NC
Medal Madness takes place in Hickory, North Carolina, with venue address at 1581 12th St Dr NW. Parking and restrooms are located at the Trailhead. Registration and the starting area are north of the VFW, across the street from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW.

The event uses short out and back segments repeated to reach the advertised distances. The 5K is based on a 0.78 mile segment returned along the same route, completed twice to create the 5 kilometer distance. The 13.1 mile course is built from a 1.09 mile segment returned along the same route and completed six times to equal the half marathon distance. The overall course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Entry requires online registration through RunSignup; no on site registration is available. Published entry fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $65.00 for the 13.1 mile event. The event includes finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards.
