Event Overview
The Gobbler 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Charlotte is a recurring racing event held at Mallard Creek Playground, situated across from Mallard Creek Elementary School. All participants must register through the RunSignup platform, as no on-site registration is available for this event.
Distances
- 5K - A 1.56-mile out-and-back course completed two times.
- 10K - A 1.56-mile out-and-back course completed four times.
- Half Marathon - A 2.18-mile out-and-back course completed six times.
Course Information
The races are conducted on Clark's Creek Greenway. For the 5K and 10K, each lap consists of a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment. The Half Marathon uses a slightly longer 1.09-mile out-and-back layout. There is a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all event distances.
Participant Information
Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event, beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the race. All finishers are awarded a medal. The event also features a best costume competition and participants can earn series points through US Road Running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
