South End Shuffle 5k & 1 Mile
The South End Shuffle is scheduled for September 12, 2026 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the event base at Wooden Robot Brewery on South Tryon Street. This edition is the thirteenth annual running of the event.
Two distances are offered:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K begins on W Summit Avenue in front of Wooden Robot Brewery and proceeds through Charlotte's South End and Wilmore neighborhoods. Registration for the event includes a finisher medal and a choice of beer for participants aged 21 and over or ice cream for those under 21. Race shirts are included for 5K registrants and are available as an upgrade for the 1 Mile entry.
The event is presented by Skufca Law, Wooden Robot Brewery, and Beacon Partners. Proceeds support local nonprofit organizations; the primary beneficiary is The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma. Additional beneficiaries include the Dan Wade Memorial Scholarship established in 2025 and West Blvd Ministry.
Registration follows published pricing tiers and the event has a no refund policy. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
