South End Shuffle 5k and 1 Mile
The South End Shuffle is a community road event in Charlotte, North Carolina, taking place on September 12, 2026 at Wooden Robot Brewery on South Tryon Street. The event offers two distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile run.
The 5K course begins on W Summit Ave in front of Wooden Robot Brewery and proceeds through Charlotte's South End and Wilmore neighborhoods. Registration for the event includes a finisher medal and either a beer from Wooden Robot Brewery for participants age 21 and older or ice cream for those under 21. Shirts are included with 5K registration and may be added as an upgrade for the 1 Mile entry.
Presenting sponsors for the event include Skufca Law, Wooden Robot Brewery, and Beacon Partners. The event directs proceeds to local nonprofit organizations. Primary beneficiaries named for this edition include the Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma and West Blvd Ministry. A memorial scholarship founded in 2025 has also been added as a beneficiary.
Registration is subject to event policies that include no refunds. Race management may cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God.
