South End Shuffle 5k & 1 Mile
The South End Shuffle is the 13th annual community road race held on September 12, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K starts on W Summit Ave in front of Wooden Robot Brewery on South Tryon Street and continues through Charlotte's South End and Wilmore neighborhoods. The 1 Mile run provides a shorter option on the same event day.
Registration for participants in the 5K includes a finisher medal and a shirt. All registrations receive a finisher medal and a post-race beverage or treat: beer for participants aged 21 and over or ice cream for those under 21. A shirt is available as an upgrade for the 1 Mile.
The event is presented by Skufca Law, Wooden Robot Brewery, and Beacon Partners. Net proceeds support local non-profit work, with primary beneficiary The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma. Additional beneficiaries include the Dan Wade Memorial Scholarship, established in 2025, and West Blvd Ministry.
Registration policies note that there are no refunds, and Race Management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to Acts of God. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
