About the race
The Medal Madness event offers three race distances: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon (13.1 miles). It takes place at the Mallard Creek Playground, across from Mallard Creek Elementary School on Clark's Creek Greenway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 5K and 10K courses use the same 1.64-mile out-and-back segment. The 5K is one lap of this segment, while the 10K is two laps.
The Half Marathon uses a different 1.56-mile out-and-back segment and requires four laps to complete the full distance. The event has a time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the start time and ends 10 minutes before the race. All participants must register online; there is no on-site registration.
