US Road Running - Concord
The US Road Running event in Concord, North Carolina, features multiple distance options held at 760 Orphanage Rd. The race headquarters and check-in area are located at the Dogwood Shelter. Participants have the choice of three distinct distances:
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two repetitions of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four repetitions of the out-and-back course, totaling 13.1 miles.
The route is primarily paved but includes a specific section of gravel and dirt. The course is notable for being shaded. All 5K and 10K participants follow a 1.56-mile out-and-back path, while the Half Marathon utilizes a slightly different 1.64-mile out-and-back segment.
Registration must be completed in advance through RunSignup, as there is no registration available at the venue. Packet pickup is scheduled to begin 30 minutes before the event and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start. The event has a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Facilities, including bathrooms, are located in the right corner of the parking lot at the entrance. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their race.
